Wine is one of my favorite luxuries in life, so when I was presented with the opportunity to review Ozeri's 5-Piece Wine Bottle Corkscrew & Accessory Set, I was ecstatic. I received the product promptly, and couldn't wait to see what exactly this "go-to" (addition to my kitchen) was all about.

The entire set is shaped like a wine bottle, so I was already inquisitive and intrigued by what could be inside. I opened up the trendy component by easily prying the magnetic closure and found the following glorious goods:

• Stainless- steel corkscrew
• Foil cutting knife
• Foil cutter
• Drip stop collar
• Combination wine pourer/stopper

 

 

 

 

I used this set the very first night I received it, just to see how well everything worked. I mastered the art of opening the wine bottle with the corkscrew, used the foil cutter (that cut the most perfect circle out of the foil) -then proceeded to use the foil cutting knife for assistance to remove the remainder. The combination wine pourer/stopper was impressive, as this was my very first time using a pourer. The stopper was also invaluable, because I always embarrassingly tried to shove the cork back into the bottle as a way of preserving my wine. A drip stop collar to phase out obnoxious drips, that ruin wine labels and stain your fabrics is ideal. I have been seriously neglecting my wine accessory essentials. I won't make this mistake again.

One of the most important characteristics of a great frying pan, is exactly how it conducts heat. Pans that have a thick/heavy bottom work best on these ranges. The smaller the number on the metal's gauge on the pan, the heavier the pan. Food tends to burn easily on an electric range, so please have patience and allow for your pan to heat up slowly(resist the urge to kickoff your chef skills with high heat.)

 

 

If you have a gas range, keep in mind that a lot of heat is produced very quickly. A pan that can dispense this heat evenly, is essential. Pans made with cast iron, copper or aluminum are elite performers on gas ranges. Materials are favorable for conducting heat evenly, but there's one significant complaint.....the handle of a pan of this nature normally heats up to scorching levels. A oven mitt is always needed-Always opt for a pan with "cool touch" handle amenities.

The magnetized  stove base for rapid heat transfer was impressive, and I loved that my food absolutely refused to stick, and my clean up was effortless. The heat resistant silicone handle is a dream. Clean up includes just a little dish soap and a soft cloth(do not use abrasive scouring pads that may remove the coating) I was  sure to  use only plastic(without rough edges) utensils, wooden spoons, or heat resistant utensils or spatulas. I was also sure to store this gem properly.

This is indeed the PERFECT pan. I have replaced my old one and never looked back!
