Ozeri WeightMaster Digital Bath w/BMI & Weight Differential Detection-Review

The Ozeri scale is one I love to hate-but this is only because it works so well and let's me know about my weight changes within a fraction of an ounce. I have struggled with weight gain and loss for the last decade, so I wasn't sold on the fact that I would have such a handy little tool, so readily available to gauge my BMI (body mass index) in my bathroom. This scale also weighs up to 400 lbs.

 I was able to check:
  •  my weight differential each morning-displaying my net weight change from my last weigh in (Labeled as L1)
  • the average of my last 3 weigh ins (Labeled as L3)
  • the average of my last 7 weigh ins (Labeled as L7)

Being able to see how my weight fluctuates from day to day sometimes encouraged or defeated me for the moment. I knew that after a long carb-filled weekend, that I would weigh a little heavier, and this scale never failed to point that out.

The Ozeri Digital Weightmaster works for those that just want to track their weight, without the bells and whistles too.
  • color technology-displaying weight changes in green illumination for weight loss
  • red illumination is shown for weight gain

This scale is so easy to use, just step right up without fear of slipping thanks to the slip resistant manufacturing , and  feel free to enjoy battery preservation, as the scale automatically powers off.

You truly can't go wrong with Ozeri's 100% Hassle-Free Satisfaction Guarantee and batteries are included!

EZ Grip LumenX Bike Light -Review

http://www.tomoson.com/?code=TOP2dee57820c4dcc10fcf213d36bf44c58" rel="nofollow">http://www.tomoson.com/images/front/pixel.png
" />

We love to ride our bikes when we can. My husband is even looking to participate in his first triathlon in the next year. I was eager to try out these unbelievable bike lights. Right away I became quickly aware of all the great benefits these phenomenal little bulbs possessed.

  • front and rear tail light can fit easily on to any bike (mountain, street, children's)
  • made of high quality silicone material
  • water resistant
  • great for riding at sundown
  • dual energy efficiency
  • powerful bright lights
  • 90 lumens
  • white front light display
  • red rear light display

I was fascinated by the fact that these powerful little lights were also able to be used in a total of 4 different modes:
  • constant
  • strobe
  • disco strobe
  • conniption fit strobe

I wasn't sure I was going to like the lights to be honest, they were so small, and I was sure they would easily break or wouldn't give off a bright enough light. I was sadly mistaken, and proven wrong almost instantly. I really appreciated the fact that I could effortlessly transfer the lights on to my husband's bike, and have a peace of mind when he's off riding at dusk. I also liked how easy it was to manipulate the lights, to switch modes while riding the bike.

LumenX packed an exceptional product with a huge punch, into a tiny little unsuspecting package. I was pleased, surprised, and gained a new level of assurance while riding our bikes in the evening. These affordable gems are worth the purchase, and can be found HERE

This is where I've been 6 days a week!

And yeah I said it! "Every Damn Day" I've been in the gym workin' it out on a very serious high impact regimen, care to join me? Did I forget to tell you about the weekly healthy food journal as well? What about the weigh-ins? Aside from my 8 week challenge (we're only in week #3)
Mr. Parks and I will start to train for my 1/2
and his whole marathon beginning this Saturday. The race is in May I believe. Dios Mio I am not sure how much longer my body will allow me to do this, but can you imagine how svelte and amazing I'll look come March for my girls trip to Vegas?
Let's get it!

I've been on Hiatus! but for a great reason-

Sorry for the severe lack of posts, I have so much going on at the moment. I am currently participating in an 8 week challenge orchestrated by my personal trainer, it is GRUELING! I must complete a minimum of 8 hours of training  per week, so you can imagine what that's like, right? I am currently in the midst of my 3rd day of detox and can only consume fruits, vegetables, water or green tea. I will be so happy tomorrow when I can add a little more substance into my meal plan! We're also contemplating hittin' up Vegas at the end of this challenge. Let's get it!

I have won some awesome giveaways lately, but just haven't had the time to post- In addition, my laptop went kaput ,so you can imagine and feel my pain [a blogger with no laptop?] I think not!

Just wanted you all to know that I'm still reading your posts, I'm still existing and I love and miss you all!

Wish me luck on this quest!

XOXO

Jaw Dropping Before and After- Amazing Pico Recipe Inside-

Mr. Parks and I started out quest to lose weight as a New Year's Resolution last January. We were so tired of our unhealthy habits and decided to make a change. We started going to a personal trainer and it changed our lives. Normally trainers are known to be expensive, but we pay only $15 per session, two sessions a week, and unlimited classes, which include, cardio, body sculpting, kickboxing, zumba and everything in between. We are coming up on our one year anniversary this January. Mr. Parks looks amazing with his loss of 58 lbs, and I am holding steady at my 40 lbs of weight loss, I have about 15 more to go to hit my goal.

For some reason I can't seem to find any * before *pictures of myself.. lol!

We have been trying to eat really healthy as well and I made this delicious dish: Perfect Pico De Gallo. It was really easy to make, and so very tasty! See the recipe below.

A SIC*k* pair of shoes....

I've been searching high and low for a dynamic pair of running shoes as of late. Mr. Parks and I have been training for almost a year now, and my tried and true Nike shoes are shot. We plan to run a few half marathons, maybe even a marathon this year, and yes BLACK GIRLS RUN (check out the site)and so do guys!  Mr. Crazy Parks wants to work up to a Triathlon, but I'm not quite there yet.. So... back to the shoes.. While perusing through my Oprah mag today I spotted these fantabulous kicks!

They are the Asic Gel -Noosa Tri 6 and I actually prefer the men's version on the left and up above, I am loving the vibrant colors! Are you kidding me? Look at these babies!

These shoes are actually designed for triathletes and are expected to be worn barefoot, with an open-mesh upper and a perforated sock liner to keep your feet cool as cucumbers. I'm in running shoe heaven, I'm so in love.

The price tag sits at $120 but that is normally the average for a decent pair of running shoes.

Mr. Parks has been running in the Asic Nimbus for about six months, and absolutely swears by them. He also was forever devoted to Nike.

I am just picturing how fun these shoes are, and I've heard nothing but excellent reviews on the Asic brand on all the running sites and in the running mags. I am absolutely sold, can't wait to order them if I can't find them in the stores :)

So glad the weekend  is just beginning, hope you all had a tremendous holiday!

It was a Bright Blue Akron Marathon Relay type of day!

The *Handsome* Mr Parks who completely smoked it as the last leg of his relay team.. I know....... right? I'm right there w/ya...:)
We spent yesterday morning and afternoon running in The Akron Marathon Relay. Didn't know I got my workout on like that did ya? Well.. Mr. Parks and I have been frequenting a personal trainer (right around the corner) since January and we love her. "Hey Nicole! " She has encouraged us to not only drop 40lbs each but she trains us for race events that we want to participate in, and even participates herself. Here are a few candids of the day, it was empowering and satisfying in every single way. I watched 70 year old men and women, running the marathon, a person w/a prosthetic leg, running next to me and every walk of life out there sweating and giving all they had..and YES.. I'm still fashionable even while I'm on my grind.. Let's have a great start to the week!
